ChatGPT 'Temporary Chat' Feature
A recent upgrade from OpenAI focuses on data control, providing consumers with more control over their ChatGPT experience. Previously, customers complained about the lack of a private option for their discussion history, or the absence of one altogether. This update, however, addresses two critical features:
This update is centered around privacy and data control for the users
Full chat history access: Before, users who didn’t supply discussion data to ChatGPT had no access to their chat history. This release unrestricted it, allowing everyone to look at their past communications, no matter the data contribution choice. Moreover, the organization assures the users that any options they have chosen before will stay.
Temporary Chats: The company also implemented a new “temporary chat” for talks on sensitive issues or when you don’t want to leave a trace. These messages do not get into chat history and will be used as a closed, temporary dialogue between the user and ChatGPT.
The upgrade is now live on the ChatGPT web version, and the mobile app version should be expected for released soon. This update helps OpenAI manifest its perspective on putting users first by enabling users to take more control over their conversation histories, getting consideration about users’ data contribution settings, and offering solutions to help users enhance their privacy as users of ephemeral chats.
